Play a game with your child as you are reading a book. Demonstrate the following: 1.The front cover opens from left to right. 2. The title page follows the front cover. It also has the title of the book. 3.The back cover is the last page of the book. As you finish reading each page/section in an informational book, have the child tell you at least one new thing they learned. For example, if you are reading a book about flowers, have the child tell you something new they learned about flower parts, how they grow, etc. |
